Links: The purpose of the City’s Economic Development web (ED) site is to provide information about the City’s from an Economic Development perspective. The ED web site may provide links to Web sites outside the ED Web site that also serves this purpose. The City is not responsible for and does not endorse the information on any linked web site unless the ED web site states otherwise. The following criteria will be used to decide whether to grant requests for City web site links.
The ED web site will provide links to web sites for:
1_Governmental and educational institutions.
2_Organizations with some relationship to the City (including but not limited to: organizations contracting with the City, organizations sponsoring City activities or programs, and organizations participating in City activities or programs).
3_Generally recognized community organizations
4_Organizations providing information about art, cultural, and sporting activities in the City’s area.
5_Organizations providing information about employment opportunities in the City’s area.
6_Organizations providing information about tourist attractions in the City’s area.
The ED web site will not provide links to a web site for:
1_Candidates for local, state or federal offices.
2_Political organizations or other organizations advocating a position on a local, state or federal issue.
3_Corporate or other for-profit organizations unless they fit any of the criteria stated above.
4_Individual or personal home pages.

Statistical Information: We analyze user traffic patterns on our web portal from information automatically provided by your browser when you visit our site. We use the statistical information gathered in the web log files to measure site and server performance and continually improve the content of our sites to better serve you. The City does not use the information automatically collected to ascertain personally identifiable information.

The information collected in the web log files includes the following:

Information provided by you: Information volunteered by you through your filling out of our optional online feedback form is used to help us enhance our web sites. Site security: CivicPlus, the City of Danville third party web hosting vendor, monitors network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or to otherwise cause damage to the site. Anyone using this web site expressly consents to such monitoring. CivicPlus has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under ours and their control. CivicPlus is located in Manhattan, Kansas.
