A 2025 guide details the historic structures in Danville, including the Old West End Historic District.
The guide touts the new look of Danville’s River District with the iconic White Mill building — now called Dan River Falls — as an anchor for redevelopment.
“This is an important moment in the history of the city of Danville to have a building that has been around for more than 100 years and played an important role in our community for a long time be brought back to life,” Bobe wrote in the guide.
The new casino — Caesars Virginia — is also highlighted. Although the project itself has been touted as a way to transform the region into a tourism destination, it only takes up a small portion of the guide.
Agritourism, parks and festivals are also highlighted in the guide.
